Pro Bono in Practice: Elections – Don’t Miss Out!

Recently, PBI hosted an interactive webinar “Pro Bono in Practice: Elections” in conjunction with West LegalEdcenter.  The program, which is part of our Best of the 2012 Conference Series, focused on the roles law firms and legal departments have to play at all levels of election protection and reform processes on Election Day and year round.  The program featured experts Stacey Fahey from Proskauer Rose LLP*†, Keesha Gaskins from the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law School, and Jon Greenbaum from The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

The lively discussion explored a wide range of pro bono topics including time-limited projects, opportunities outside your home state, legal issues related to newly-enacted voter identification laws, use of technology and social media, and opportunities for non-lawyers.  The response to this program from participants was extremely positive: “great program”, “really effective webinar”, and “good webinar and great experience”.
